University of Granada Fund

It houses all the documentation of the University from its foundation to the present day, given the General nature of the Archive (performing the functions of Intermediate and Historical Archive), although it should be noted that, until recently, no systematic policy has been followed with regard to the remission of documentation by the various services.

For a complete description of the fonds in accordance with the international archival description standard ISAD(G), there is the ISAD(G) description at fonds level.

One of its most outstanding series is the Cloister Minute Books, which have been preserved from 1532 to the present day. An index is available.

In addition, there is a classification table for the whole of the UGR Collection, as well as another series of tables relating to various sections that have been described individually:

  1. Section of First Education (or Elementary Education), which depended administratively on the UGR from the middle of the 19th century until the first third of the 20th century, and which, due to its specificity, has been organised according to its own classification table (pdf).
  2. Secondary Education Section (or Secondary and Vocational Education), which, due to the same circumstances as above, also has its own Classification Table (pdf).
  3. Section of the Hospital Clínico of Granada, covering the period from 1953 to 1971, when its management was handed over to the Andalusian Health Service: Classification Table (pdf).
