The Archive of the University of Granada (AUG) is organically dependent on the General Secretariat of the University of Granada. It has the functions of a historical archive and intermediate archive, holding documents from 1532 to the present day.
According to article 204 of the University Statutes,
"... it is made up of all documents of any nature, period and material support produced by any body or service of the University, as well as those provided to them".
