The collection consists of 5,189 videocassettes, the result of almost 40 years of work by José Sánchez Montes.
José Sánchez Montes is a director, producer, lecturer, teacher of courses and workshops on audiovisual media and advisor for the elaboration of cultural plans for the INEM, the International University of Andalucia, the University of Granada, the Junta de Andalucía and the Granada City Council. In 1984 he founded the production company Ático 7 S.A., with which he has worked as a scriptwriter, director and producer of films, documentaries and television programmes.
His experience as a cultural manager has led him to direct the Granada 95 cultural programme developed to accompany the World Ski Championships, to be artistic director and creator of the Festival of the Andalucías Atlánticas in Essaouira (Morocco) and various public and private cultural programmes.
From 2006 to the present, he has been the director of the Granada Festival, Cines del Sur, a festival organised by the Junta de Andalucía, which celebrated its ninth edition in 2015 (Cines del Sur).

The tapes include some of his most important works: Sangre verde, Morente sueña La Alhambra, Federico García Lorca: de Granada a la luna, Violines en la selva, Elogio de ti misma, etc.
