The Virgen de las Nieves University School of Nursing dates back to the former Ruiz de Alda School of Nursing, created in 1972, and began its academic activity in the academic year 1972-1973..
In 1980 it became a University School of Nursing attached to the University of Granada.
The cessation of the academic activity of the University School in September 2015 and its integration into the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Granada led to the transfer of the funds of the former School to the premises of the University Archive.
